DARCO extends its Relief family products: Relief Insert® 2.0

The Relief Insert® 2.0 Foot-Positioning Orthosis from DARCO was developed in close collaboration with foot and ankle specialists and experts in the field of orthopaedic technology. During product development, the focus was on immediate use in the operating room for safe and time-saving positioning as well as the practical, simple extension to a mobile version with a post-op shoe.

The Foot-Positioning Orthosis offers many treatment options, e.g. pre- and post-operative support, immobilisation after an accident and short-term stabilisation. When used with the DAW heel wedges, the Relief Insert® 2.0 can also be used for e.g. Achilles tendon ruptures, shortening of the calf muscles and tendinitis in the Achilles tendon area.

Above all, the simple and time-saving handling of the Relief Insert® 2.0 Foot-Positioning Orthosis and the option to extend it during post-operative treatment are impressive. After the surgical wound has been dressed, the orthosis is put on and fixed in place with straps. Time-consuming plastering or modelling of a splint is no longer necessary and the cost-intensive operating time is significantly reduced.

In addition, the width of the positioning splint can be adjusted to the patient's calf circumference. The calf and front liner can be removed from the orthosis and machine washed at 60° C.

The product is part of the Relief family's sustainable therapy concept: High comfort and secure positioning right from the start, individual customisation options and easy upgrading for targeted applications.
